Network Rail are pressing on with their works to the bridge at Fulscot as part of their plans to electrify the line. In addition to installing the electrification gantrys they are raising the height of the bridge by one metre.
I have heard today that there have been some unforseen problems with the bridge structure and, of course, the weather hasn’t helped.
Initially the completion date was early March, but it is likely that the diversions will have to stay in place for considerably longer. A more exact re-opening date should be available next week.
