Barrie Charles’ new book “Crime and Calamity in Cholsey”, a social and political history of our village 1819 to 1919 was launched in the Community Library last night.
I interviewed Barrie for about an hour and we both read passages from the book to a packed library. The interview was followed by a question and answer session. The launch was accompanied by a display about the book and this will remain in the library for a short while.
Barrie is in the library again this morning for a book signing session. The library is open until 12.30.
