The Parish Council has persuaded the Primary care Trust to address the issue of whether or not Cholsey should have a doctor’s surgery. Over the next six weeks the PCT will be looking into this issue and reporting back to its Infrastructure Committee in mid November.
The Parish Council is providing the space for a surgery in the New Pavilion at a very low rent as we believe that provision of a GP in the village will be huge help to all, but particularly elderly people, to young parents and to others without easy access to transport.
We have organised a meeting to discuss how villagers can engage with the PCT and to garner support for a surgery. The meeting will take place on Tuesday 16th October in the Laurence Hall at 7.30pm.
If you would like to be involved, but can’t make the meeting please contact me on 07971 805416 or through my blog.
