A group of CAGE supporters (Lynda Atkins, Henry Thornton, Bernard Stone and Mark Gray) met Ed Vaizey in Didcot this afternoon in order to press him to support our fight against the gravel pit.
Ed was very receptive to our cause and has offered his full support. He has offered to write to the County Council in order to press our case and try to get to the bottom of how the Cholsey site was chosen over the other sites in South Oxfordshire. In addition Ed has suggested that he may be able to support us at the Examination in Public.
We are also hearing rumours that the County Council cabinet may be changing under the new leadership of Ian Hudspeth. Watch this space…..
